Steroid-Resistant Asthma

Steroid-Resistant Asthma

Steroid-resistant asthma is a type of asthma in which the symptoms of the condition do not respond well to treatment with corticosteroid medications. Corticosteroids are commonly used to reduce inflammation in the airways and are a cornerstone of asthma treatment. However, in some people with asthma, even high doses of corticosteroids do not improve symptoms or lung function.
