Insect Allergies

Insect allergies are hypersensitivity reactions of the immune system to insect venom or bites. Insects that commonly cause allergic reactions include honeybees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, ants, and certain types of flies. The allergic reaction can range from mild to severe and life-threatening, depending on the individual's sensitivity to the insect venom and the amount of venom injected.
