Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the esophagus that is caused by an allergic or immune-mediated response. It is characterized by the accumulation of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell, in the lining of the esophagus, which can cause symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, chest pain, heartburn, and food impaction.
